Old Bangkok Walking Tour

I'm thinking of organizing a weekly Bangkok walking tour (with indept historical narration for each site) - exact details are in the making but I just wanted to see your opinion about the following route.

If you wish to add suggestions, please remember that it has to be in the Old part of Bangkok, and the whole walk should not exceed 3 hours.

1. Start at Wat Pho
2. Emerald Buddha
3. City Pillar - then head to Tanao Road
4. Chote Chitr for lunch (BEST THAI FOOD!)
5. Either mango & sticky rice / Thai crepes for dessert on Tanao Road
6. Giant Swing
7. City Hall
8. Thai Ice tea at Mont
9. Democracy Monument
10. Metal Palace
11. Old Bangkok Inn for Bathroom stop and Chocolate Cake
12. Golden Mountain

Sounds good and u have planned great, regular (!) nourishment halts but barring a few months Bkk is very hot for a walking tour I'd think...

any a/c break after the heat??

I'm actually thinking of making it a part time job for Thai students who are history majors - fees will either be nominal or based on tips.

Mont and the Old Bangkok Inn are air conditioned - but with the cool (17 degree) temp. we are currently having it is easy to forget how hot it can get!

Looks good, but wondering about a few things...
1. Seems like a lot to see in just 3 hours. I can't remember...aren't Wat Po and the Emerald Buddha in the Royal Palace? Will the our include that?

2. Will your price include admission fees? Cost of lunch?

3. What will your price be?

4. Can you tell me more about the restuarant for lunch? :-)

When are you thinking about starting this tour? I will be in BKK in Feb-my 7th trip in 7 years. I am bringing 4 more new people and I would be very interested in using this way of touring. Please let me know more of your plans.

1. Chote Chitr: is located on Tanao Road, if you are coming from Rajadamnern Avenue, it is the last soi (street) to your right. Do a search on google for more specifics.

2. Thanks for your interest, there an issue of doing research and training the students - which may take sometime.
