Oeam folk village

Can you tell me a little bit about the Oeam Folk Village? Is it worth visiting? How do you get transportation to Oeam for Seoul?

I didn't visit this particular folk village, but you should be able to figure out how to get there using either rome2rio.com or google maps.

I have not been there, but I can tell you something about it. It is a large area of a historic agricultural village. To this day, they grow things there. There are about 16 or so points of interest plus they have many activities. Although the activities are for all ages, it looks like they are definitely trying to appeal mostly to kids. There will be some signage in English. I am guessing they get mostly Korean families to visit. You can stay onsite in a traditional home.

Their website (In Korean, but you can use Google Translate) :
?????? ???????.

Since it will probably take you 2 hours door-to-door to get there via public transportation, you'll have to figure out if it's worth it to you. How did you hear about it? And what sparked your interest?

I understand that at Oeam Folk Village people live in this historical town. Is that correct? I wanted to see a small traditional village/town for half a day that would not be very far outside the city. Do you have any other suggestions?
There is another folk village that is called the Korean Folk Village and it is a recreation of Korean life in the past with homes, activities and performances.
Is it worth going to both Oeam and Korean Folk Village? How are they different, I did not know Oeam Folk Village was so far away for Seoul. How far is the Korean Folk Village for Seoul?

As mentioned above, I didn't visit Oeam. I did visit two other traditional villages -- Hahoe and Yangdong. In those two villages, visiting meant walking through a village where people live in traditional homes, wearing traditional clothing. One could enter a few buildings in Yangdong. I'm glad I saw them, but I can imagine one would find it relatively boring unless one has a strong interest in folk traditions.

I also visited the Korean Folk Village just outside of Seoul and truly enjoyed that day.

For more information, you might consult my (long) trip report.

I hope that helps!
