Planned on The Peninsula but just found out they are booked as is The 4 Seasons. Apparently a big conference. I can get into the Conrad. Looks luxurious but without the "charm" of the others. How is the location for touring?
Is this going to be ok for my husband and I and 10yr old son.
We are going on a quick jaunt from HK.

how about trying the Royal Orchid which would give you the same wonderful river location? Or the Shangrila?

I am happy to try anything in the "luxury" catagory. trying to deal with a package situation and a travel agent in Hong Kong. It has been difficult becauseof the time difference trying to communicate. have you stayed at one of thoses? I have heard the Shangrala is very nice.

I always stay at the Royal Orchid (in the Towers). Can you book yourself rather than going through a travel agent?

Interesting...I booked directly with The Pen. and had no problem getting a room at a reasonable rate.
Maybe the "package deal" was the issue. Thanks all.
