NY Times on Bangkok
The lead (and long) article in tomorrow's NY Times Sunday travel section (now on the web) is on being young and hip in Bangkok. I'm neither but for those of you who are this might give you some good ideas of places to stay, eat and go.

Two things from the article jumped out at me:
1) It credits the Bed Supperclub as being "widely seen as the beginning of the current epidemic of Thai innovation" and 2) Those inexpensive premium economy tickets on the Thai JFK-BKK flight will be $3,320 after December 10 if the article is correct. Also, the airline will operate 6 flights in the summer instead of the current 4. |
Glad to see that you saw the article. I thought it was helpful and I added it to the other 250 pages of information I have collected form a variety of sources. chr

I found the article useless. most of the places will be closed within a year.
This HIP cafe society crap is getting me angry the soi I live on is starting to sprout glossy boutiques and cafes, actually KING POWER duty free is building their headquarters on soi rang nam it will have a big duty free shop, auditorium and hotel. I went too RCA the other night and it surely has changed. |
orgy---you've got to follow the rest of the ex-pats and head for the hills....they won't mind your red T shirt....they will see you coming...
