Nikko vs. Fuji Five lakes
 

My son and I want a good day of hiking while we are staying in the Yokohama/Tokyo area (probably staying in Yokohama to use hotel points) in mid-March. Trying to pick between Fuji 5 lakes and Nikko. We are moderate level hikers. Obviously we would get Mt Fuji at one, but I hear nice things about Nikko too. Which is better for travel/rail considerations for a day trip, hiking and all around scenery, time from Yokohama, and whatever else? Thanks very much in advance.

And if it is Fjui 5 lakes, which one?
