New Year's Eve
 

My husband and I will be in Bangkok -- the second time for us -- for a month beginning mid-December. We already have several things planned, but would like some info on places to go for New Year's Eve. We have been reading several reviews and it sounds like the Londoner Pub might be a likely place for farongs like us.

Can someone comment on this place, and make some other suggestions, also?

all of the major hotels have big parties at a high price tag....some have a mandatory dinner, which might include yours...you might want to check...there are wonderful fireworks over the river so you might want to do something down there...

The Londoner is nice, but you won't see fireworks. I think the best spot for NYE is the beer garden next to Central World Plaza. Second coice would be the river.

I've spent many NYE's in Bangkok over the years. I always love being on the river and seeing the fireworks.

Thanks for the suggestions. We stayed on the river last year, as well as in the Sukumvit area, and prefer Sukumvit. The Londoner still looks pretty good, but I am still looking for other suggestions. (Our hotel does not have a NYE party as such.)
