New Year in Hua Hin and a bit of Tennis as well.

A belated Happy New Year to all!

Just got back from Hua Hin and want to share some pictures from the beach and an exhibition tennis match.

Enjoy!

Good pictures Pook. Thanks for sharing. Looks like a lot of fun AND nice and warm. Would rather be in Hau Hin than shoveling snow!

Hanuman Jan 3rd, 2010 06:26 AM

Glad you like them Karen. Now I'm getting bombarded with messages on smugmug from the Maria Sharapova fan site!!

Nywoman Jan 3rd, 2010 07:24 AM

They would rather have you than her :). Not that I blame them.

Great pictures and Happy New Year

Kathie Jan 3rd, 2010 07:29 AM

Thanks for sharing your photos!

Even though we haven't had snow like Karen and Bob, I'd rather be in the warmth of Thailand than the cold rain of Seattle.

Hanuman Jan 3rd, 2010 08:02 AM

Thanks Nywoman. You don't like her? She was nice but kind of quiet and she played very well. Venus on the other hand was very friendly and love mingling with her fans.

Kathie,

It seems that after you had left Bangkok the weather keep getting warmer. Snow I like but cold rain yuk!!

Pook-I gather that Ms. Williams and Ms. Sharapova let the restraining orders expire. We can't see the bodyguards in the pictures. Good job.

rhkkmk Jan 3rd, 2010 09:59 AM

fantastic shots, especially the action ones....the one of the boy jumping off the wave runner is fantastic...

Hanuman Jan 3rd, 2010 03:52 PM

Thanks Bob.

Andy - the bodyguards were kind of short but they were there!

rhkkmk Jan 3rd, 2010 07:21 PM

yours or hers??

Thanks for sharing that great slide show! I saw some familiar faces in there... Looks like you all had a terrific time.

Happy New Year.

Thank you all for the complements.

Carol,

Good eyes!

I'm sorry guys but my pictures are being reproduced by several websites without my permission so I'm taking them offline.

LAleslie Jan 4th, 2010 05:15 PM

I can see why. Tennis porn!

Hanuman Jan 4th, 2010 05:32 PM

LAleslie - what?

LAleslie Jan 5th, 2010 06:52 PM

Well, those shots of Maria from ALL angles, and sweaty and svelte. I can see why men are copying them madly.

Hanuman Jan 5th, 2010 07:41 PM

The curse of a beautiful and talented woman!

lcuy Jan 5th, 2010 08:28 PM

Haunaman- I didn't know you were a tennis person. Do you by chance know the American guy in Chang Mai who has the big tennis training center? I can't recall his name at the moment, but he is one of my brother's best friends.

Only asking, since you have the connection with other members of our family! Had dinner with Clint the other night, and we had a good laugh over his meeting with Kuranosuke at your party last year!

Hanuman Jan 5th, 2010 08:49 PM

Hi Lcuy,

I'm sorry lcuy but I don't know any tennis school in Chiang Mai. I like to watch a lot of sports(Formula 1, tennis, soccer, NFL, NBA etc..) and if I get a chance to watch a top athlete or event I would go immediately.

Please tell Clint I said hello and when will he be back in Thailand?

Hanuman Jan 5th, 2010 08:50 PM

Lcuy - is this it?: http://tennis.premcenter.org/content/staff.html

bevzy Jan 6th, 2010 05:23 AM

dear hanuman
please tell me the hotel near hospital in Huahin you mentioned-thanks a lot

lcuy Jan 6th, 2010 09:46 AM

Hanumand- Remembered his name and then googled it. My brother's friend is Ric Fowler and the center is in Chiang Rai:

(that should have said Hanuman..)

Hanuman Jan 6th, 2010 03:24 PM

bevzy,

You never did say which hospital you would like to be near to so I did not look for you. I still suggest that you get a hotel close to or withing an easy walking distant to the Hua Hin beach. Don't know your budget either so it will be very hard to recommend anything.
