I was very happy with our stay at Centre Point Silom:

Close to the Chao Phraya River and short walk to the Saphin Taksin BTS stop.

I am also a fan of Centre Point Silom, staying there twice a year when I go to Thailand. Grocery store next door, food court and lots of street food, right outside. Easy access to river taxi, skytrain and freeways. Great staff!

I am also a huge fan of the Adelphi Suites, but I too am always on the look out for something newer, yet in that same kind of neighborhood in lower Sukhumvit.

We do like the apartments at Column, which is on soi 16, in the same building as Long Table restaurant (above the restaurant). It is about a 10 minute walk to Terminal 21 and Asok BTS from Column. I think we will probably stay at Column for perhaps a week, when we first arrive Thailand for the Christmas/New Year holidays.

I'm anxious to see what Hyde has to offer when it opens. This is the new construction on Sukhumvit near soi 15.

Hmmm.... Ellen, I have not yet looked at Column for December. Maybe I am too late??? I need to get a better "feel" for our schedule on this trip. We have a full week in Phuket (Phuket Beach Club, Mai Khao) and I assume the rest of the time, or most of it, will be in Bangkok. We will also visit our friends' country home (Ban Bueng) for Christmas Eve, over night. We just might do a drive to the north for a few days.... who knows! But I guess I should look at Column and see if I can still get a 2-bedroom for our arrival!!
