New Novel - Elephants

I just finished reading Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult, a new novel just published in October, 2014. It is on the NY Times bestsellers list. It is about a scientist who studied elephants and their behavior, memory, emotions, etc. It is also a study of relationships. I learned so much about these beautiful animals, set in part on an elephant sanctuary. It is a real page-turner, and I highly recommend it. Enjoy!

Thank you for the heads up.
I will spend 3 days at the Elephant Nature Park in Chang Mai in Jan.This will be my third time there.I can't get enough. To see the Eles in family groups without chans, daily beatings, starvation.
Makes me so happy. All walking free as they should be.The land was donated by a American couple
Out of Texas.Bob Barker is a great help as well.
I also vist the Cambodia wildlife Santuary near Siem Reap. This is owned by lek as well. She really is trying to give The elephants a great life.

wk, is the story very sad?

zozo, I also visited the wonderful ENP, a couple of years ago. I'm interested in visiting the Cambodian sanctuary now. Will you be posting a report on that upon your return?

Cattail, it is a touching story, very creative writing and many twists in the storyline. Picoult has presented much info about elephants. I learned a great deal from this very enjoyable read.
