New AA service to India?

I heard that AA will begin servcie to India and one of the flights will be 14 hrs. non-stop Chicago to Delhi. Anyone else heard this?

Yes, AA ORD-DEL, staring Nov 15. CO EWR-DEL starting Nov 1. Both airlines doing promotions of as low as $499 + tax.

On the other hand, AC's YYZ-DEL will now stop in Zurich.

rkkwan, any new on Jet Airways? I see they have leased one of the SA 340's they got to Air India, I think they planed to do BOM-BRU-JFK but looks like not for the moment

Just the curiosity cat in me, I guess - - as I do not see traveling to India in the near term - - but what are the routes for ORD-DEL and EWR-DEL. Do both flights travel east to get TO Delhi, and west to depart Delhi? And what do they pass over, generally?

Best wishes,

Rex

East both ways, fly over Europe and Russia I think

Yes, basically "Trans-Atlantic" both ways, but via a very northerly route. Only part of Europe they fly over will be Scandinavia and Russia.
