Nepal Visa situation

Hello, fellow travelers

I am traveling to both India and Nepal this July and started gathering up all the necessary visas.
Had no problem with getting an Indian visa but when I have sent my Nepal visa to the permanent mission of Nepal in NYC, they have returned my passport and my money order with a post-it note on it saying "please send your application to the Embassy of Nepal in Washington, D.C.".
I cannot alter the money order for it has been made out to Permanent mission of Nepal... I have tried contacting both sites with no response...

Shall I just forget about getting this visa in the u.S. And get one on arrival? I guess I will have to suck up the $25 money order... Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

1. Get a refund on your money order and get the visa at the airport in Kathmandu when you arrive in Nepal.
or, if you have time,
2. Just send it to the Embassy in Washington DC. They will likely accept the money order, but you can also have the money order re-issued with the correct name.

Getting a VOA is easy.

You'll get through Immigration quickly if:

- You've already printed off a visa application form, and completed it correctly;

- Have a passport sized photo, and attached it to the application form;

- Have the correct visa fee in US$.

- Join the right visa queue.

There's a money exchange in Arrivals to the left of the visa queues, which offers only fractionally less than you'll get in the city.

Many countries split the us into regions and assign certain visa production to various sites based on your location

Thanks for your feedback. I will try sending my application to the Embassy - I hope they will accept the money order made out to the Permanent Mission of Nepal... Also, to change the money order is $15! Kind of not really worth it... :/

Hey guys, just wanted to give you an update - the Embassy accepted the money order that was made out to the Permanent Mission. I have received my visa yesterday :)

Thanks for your help!
