Need restaurant recommendation not far from Imperial Hotel!
 

Looking for a terrific restuarant that is either not far from Imperial Hotel, or has easy transportation to. Thank you!

Tokyo or Osaka? Assuming it's not Hong Kong or Taipei.

Hi Jenna, if it's the Imperial in New Delhi I suggest eating in the hotel.

If in Tokyo

The teppanyaki restaurant in Imperial Hotel is good. Prices for lunch is decent from JPY3,700 to JPY10,000. Dinner is at least JPY10,000.

There's a Sushizanmai branch just under the rail tracks short. Just walk in direction of Ginza from the hotel.

From there turn right and go straight. From Shimbashi station turn left to Shiodome. There's some nice restaurants there as well.

Under the tracks there's lots of restaurants.

Turn left at Sushizanmai and in less than 10 minutes you would be at yakitori alley.

Here are my recs, assuming you're referring to Imperial Hotel in Tokyo.

You definitely won't starve, as the hotel is close to Hibiya and Ginza (10-15min walk away). Closest to the hotel (literally cross the street north of the hotel), Hibiya Chante building has casual restaurants in the basement. Nothing fancy, but solid food, both Japanese/"ethnic"/western. There's a reasonable Thai place in the building above McDonald next door.

Are you looking for particular types of cuisine? Also is this for business meals? Any budget range?

If you like sake, there are a few Japanese dining bars or grills in Ginza, my favourite being Gin No Kura along one of the side streets in Ginza. Or I like Ten-ichi on the basement of Sony Plaza Building (not sure if they're open for dinner.)
