Need help with Bangkok hotel near Victory Monument

Hello I am going to Bangkok in November and need to stay near the Victory Monument.

I have a lot of Hilton and Marriott points and am looking for a hotel close to that location.

Can anyone tell me what Hiltons or Marriotts might be located near Victory Monument?

Thanks for any suggestions.

No Marriott or Hilton within a 30 minutes car ride from the Victory monument. The nearest 5 star hotel there is the Pullman King Power, not bad and with a duty free mall attached to it as well.

There's a new Hilton opening soon over by Emporium, but nothing in the Victory Monument area. As others have said, I'm not sure why you'd want to stay in that area, which is frequented mostly by school kids, unless you have some business with the health ministry. You can get to the area by Skytrain, so if the desire is work-related, I would stay in the Renaissance, Millenium Hilton or the new one, if it's open by the time you come, and take the train.

I always think of the Victory Monument area as the area where bus tours put up their guests. It's not in a great area location-wise, some distance from attractions, not close to restaurants, etc.

I agree with others, look at a different area. You might choose on the basis of the hotel, as long as the hotel is close to a skytrain stop.
