Need advice on Nanjing

I will be spending a few days in Nanjing next month and would appreciate advice on restaurants, hotels and shopping.

Spring:

We once stayed at the JinLing Hotel...good location and upscale for very reasonable rates.

We too stayed at the Jinling Hotel...very good. The Mausoleum of Dr Sun Yat-sen, is a highlight of any visit to this area. Try not to miss it.

Oh, if you do select the Jinling you will have good shopping and restaurants right on your doorstep.

Thanks so much. I'll look into the JinLing. Does any restaurant stand out in your memory?

Yes, Sun Yat Sen mausoleum is quite dramatic ...after you've navigated a million steps (exagerrating)..the view is a beautiful one.

I don't have any restos written-upin my journal..haven't visited Nanjing in many years...skipped it on recent re-visit.
