Hello,

We will be leaving for Japan soon and I was wondering what is the best way to get to Shibuya Station from Narita Airport. We will have a 14day JR pass when we arrive so we will be taking the Narita Express train. Are there any other trains that we have to connect with along the way or does the N-EX stop at Shibuya?

The above site has a map and timetables - looks like you'll have to change at Shinagawa......

Only Narita Express that leaves Terminal 1 between 1615 and 1913 (except 1743) will go directly to Shibuya. With other services, you have to change at Tokyo (long walk) or Shinagawa (shorter). You catch JR Yamanote line to Shibuya.

Thanks for your quick responses!

Looks like we arrive at Terminal 1 at about 3pm. So I guess I'll try for the 16:15 train?? That should work out just fine. Even if we have to wait for the train an hour or so It will probably be best to take a direct train to avoid any mixups/missed trains/wrong trains etc.. haha

one more thing!

Alec: I looked up the timetables that Mara linked above and the earliest Narita Express train leaving for shibuya shows its for 17:39. Do you have another timetable?

Sorry, I looked at the timetable much too quickly and didn't go through enough pages. It looks like the 16:15 is correct....sorry!

List of suitable trains that serve Shibuya direct:

#35 Terminal 1 dep 1645 - Shibuya arr 1803
#36 Terminal 1 dep 1714 - Shibuya arr 1835
