I had tried to order fom Amazon, but they couldn't get it temporarily. If you wait until you get to Bangkok is much cheaper - and many places carry it. I bought mine in my hotel's news stand.

I ordered my map before I left Toronto. It is full of information but I think you need to sit down and take an hour or two to fully go over all the information it provides, therefore I would recommend ordering it from the nancy chandler site before you leave for Thailand, the difference in price is only a couple of dollars.

I received both the Bnagkok and the Chiang Mai ones from my sister for Christmas!

Well, she ordered them and they are due to arrive in a week or so. I can't wait to check them out!

I ordered mine from Amazon in October and after reading several posts about getting them from Amazon, I'm guessing I may have taken the last one they had for a while. It actually cost about the same as getting it directly from Nancy Chandler, but I didn't want to wait for the mail to be shipped form Thailand to the states. I agree with robmac that you really need to sit down with it at home and get familiarized with it. Don't need to waste valuable BKK time trying to figure it all out.

Book stores around Bangkok have it. Kinokuniya bookstores carry her stuff. But, I would recommend that you buy it BEFORE you go to Bangkok and sort of memorize it a bit. You can also contact distantlands.com Pasadena, California. It's a huge travel store that carries it and they do mail order. Happy Travels!

We bought ours in the small second hand bookstore in the old city. DIdn't know until we looked at these websites that she makes one for Bangkok. Oh well.

Suggested to our hotel driver, that it would be a good thing for him to keep in the car so he can point to places and inform people a little easier.
