Got this hotel for $109 at asiarooms.com. If you get it at anything close, book it!

+ great breakfast buffet, fresh fruit, cereals, made to order omelets, breakfast meats, fresh juices, thai dishes, japanese dishes, something different every day.

+ pretty large picturesque pool with jacuzzi jets (entire pool is 4 feet deep or so...)

+ professional and friendly staff, couldn't practice my Thai becuase their English was so good.

+ stylish room with lots of modern accents like recessed lighting, foam bed, separate bath (pretty big) and shower.

+ close to Siam, MBK, and other major shopping centers

- 5-6 minute walk from hotel to skytrain. It's too close for a taxi and just far enough to be an annoyance when you have a bunch of shopping bags. It wouldn't be a big deal except after a long day of shopping, or fresh from a massage, the last thing you want is a stroll through Bangkok on a humid day. This is the ONLY gripe about the hotel and it is a minor one. I could've easily just grabbed a taxi, it just seemed silly to grab a taxi to go 200 meters or so.

Most of the clientele seemed older business types. In fact, I didn't see one child there, so I don't know how family-friendly it would be. However,I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in this area of Bangkok.

what class of room were you in? do you know??

the pool was an even 4 foot all around?? approximately how large was it if you can estimate?? are there lots of trees and plantings around the pool....what were the grounds like??

next time take that taxi...it makes the drivers shake their heads and say: "farangs???"

We had dinner at Nai Lert Park during our Bangkok trip last week. I liked the look of the hotel and our meal and the service were very good. My only other thought is it seemed really empty while we were there. If you like hustle and bustle you may miss that.

I've been there, but haven't stayed there. I go to the attached mall to buy Sakul Intakul's floral vessels at his boutique. The place always looks a bit deserted. It's a beautiful area, but the hotel seems a bit deserted. Happy Travels!

I stayed at Nai Lert Park last year with its official relaunch, I was very impressed and stayed there again this year with the best rate I could find being care of justmarried's recommendation (thanks). While I think there could be a little bit of improvement on service (couple of minor room cleaning glitches and porter (lack of) service) at $107 (not $109) including breakfast and taxes for renovated room, this is I think the best value 5 star hotel in town with outstanding facilities for centre city hotel - beautiful pool, tennis courts, squash), even if not quite the best in total quality.
