Nagoya Train Station - transfer from incoming 15 to outgoing 10??
Can anyone give me some guidance on arriving at nagoya station on Platform 15 (from Kyoto) and having 9 minutes to get on a train at platform 10 heading to Nagano? Is it feasible, easy; things to guide me?
Thanks in advance. Auss

It's doable, but you won't have any time to dawdle. It's not quite as easy as the map (in previous reply) suggests, because you will be going from the shinkansen area of the station to the non-shinkansen area. You will probably need to put your ticket through the gate (or show your JR pass) to exit from the shinkansen area.
However, everything will be well-signed, and the trains will be on time.

As the map Mara shows that it is very simple. All JR tracks at Nagoya run parallel to each other and it would take you about 1 minute to get off the train and take the stairs or escalator down to the tunnel which connects all the tracks. Slower people with lots of luggage may take a little longer. Signs are in Japanese and English. Just walk down the tunnel and out of the shinkansen section to track 10 then up the steps to the platform. Should take you about 4 minutes to do. You will be fine.
