Myanmar Visa in Bangkok?

I was told today by the Myanmar Embassy in D.C. that my best bet for a tourist visa would be in Bangkok, and that it would only take 24 hours. Have any of you done this, and how did it go?

Thanks in advance!

I haven't done it myself, but I've done the research on it. For the 24 hour turn-around you'll pay extra. you need to be there as soon as they open. Lots of people get their visas this way.

Travel agents in Bangkok can usually get you a visa in Bangkok too in just one day (with extra fee).

Got a visa last spring at the embassy in bangkok. No problem - took about1 hour of waiting in the queue ( you sit in chairs) Then ahd to return after lunch to pick it up. Go there early to be first in line.
