My Riveting Experience with Maharajas’ Express

I visited India last October with my family and traveled the famous Golden Triangle with Maharajas’ Express. The immaculate hospitality and excellent services provided onboard were truly refreshing. At Agra, guided excursion to the Taj Mahal and colossal Agra Fort was inexplicable. The art and architectural styles used were so mesmerizing and unique that I got in reading about the Mughal architecture!! Amber Fort and City Palace in Jaipur are so huge that I got bone-tired after visiting these humongous monuments. Apart from that, an early morning trip to Ranthambore National Park through the wildlife was simply scintillating.

What hotels did you stay in for Jaipur and for Ranthambore? How many nights total?

hi harshjian,

This is a new poster, likely advertising.

@annhig - there are at least two luxury trains in India, one in Rajasthan and one in Karnataka. They are very expensive, very luxurious, and based on the reviews I have read (look for the late, lamented dogster's review) totally insulate you from India. There is no reason to take the train in Rajasthan, where public transport will get you round, and the roads are acceptable if you are using a car and driver. There is a case to be made for taking the train in Karnataka, unless the roads have improved markedly since 2010, but only as part of a trip. For all you need to know about train travel in India, check out seat61.com's India pages.

Thursdays is quite right, Dogster liked the Golden Chariot, didn't recommend the Maharaja or the Palace on wheels.

Take a look here: www.indianluxurytrains.com.

thanks, both.

I was just intrigued by the post and if it is an advertiser, surprised that s/he didn't post a link.
