The 7 night river cruise ends at Tonle Sap Lake. From there, the tour includes transport overland to Siem Reap and a hotel stay for a few nights. We have been to Tonle Sap and I remember ferry boats from Phnom Penh arriving there----The Mekong Pandaw is a relatively new boat.

My husband and I are going on this cruise in late december. I was also looking for some feedback. We used a travel agent in England who was the original agent when my friend who is also going contacted the cruiseline from an ad in the NYTImes. It's called Silverbird and he's been very efficient. He sends the documents by DHL so it doesn't matter where you live. We live in Macedonia and my friend is in DC. The only issue about July is that is rainy season, I believe. Dry season is Nov. to May. Check that.

A friend took it in Myanmar about 3 years ago, and said it was absolutely wonderful and HIGHLY recommended the Pandaw to me. This is a person who's been vacationing in Southeast Asia for over 20 years and has done other boat trips, but this one really stood out. He said there were only 12 people on his and his wife's cruise. Happy Travels!

Thanks for comments. I would be most interested in hearing about the December trip after your return. We are sailing out of Bangkok on Aug 11 on the Pacific Princess, (to Capetown) and were considering this land/river cruise as a preamble. We were in Siem Reap during late November, and it was hot and humid then. Are the rains constant or more like Florida where we have a heavy cloudburst followed by blue sky and sun??
