Money matters help

Hi,
We're going to Cambodia (Siem Rap), & Vietnam (Hanoi, Hoi An & Saigon).
Can US$ be used in all these places, what would be best?
Thanks

U.S. dollars are the standard currency for places tourists visit in Siem Reap. You might get some riel in change, and you can use them if you get them (but most ATMs dispense dollars). They won't do you any good once you've left Cambodia.

In Vietnam, the preferred currency is Vietnamese dong -- easily available from ATMs.

We also changed dollars to dong at our hotel and got a very fair exchange rate.

well, Some hotels and restaurant in Vietnam still accept USD (rate: 21.000vnd/usd) illegal. So the best way for you is finding the recognize money exchange to change from USD to VND.

No, the best way is to find an ATM, and use a card with low/no fees.
