Is anyone going to set a time date and place? It's narrowed down to 14th or 15th Sept lunch or dinner in Chicagoland. I'm in.

I can definitely do dinner and could probably do lunch if it is in downtown Chicago. As for dinner, I could do anywhere in downtown Chicago or lakeview or Lincoln Park etc. I could do Evanston if it is in downtown Evanston or near the train. Arlington Heights etc are out of the question for me unless someone could pick me up and bring me home. But definitely best for me would be in Chicago proper.

fainagain - Does it matter to you if it's the 14th or 15th? I'd prefer Friday, but is that ok with you too? Also, would you be able to get to Evanston, you're right smack downtown?

I really think it should be downtown Chicago - that's easiest for most, and dinner on the 15th seems to be best for most. Suggestions for a venue?

I'm having second thoughts about Vong because it can be pretty noisy on a Friday night although I love the restaurant.But then all the downtown restaurants are noisy on a friday night so let's leave it as is. I can request a corner table at least. Anyway, let's get a final count. I have:
