Mekong Delta to Siem Reap

Hi everyone,
I'm looking to travel directly from the Mekong Delta to Siem Reap, and to do the journey in one day, whether by air or sea. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, what the best mode of travel would be?

Thanks.

Air? Fly HCMC to Siem Reap on VN Air.

Sea? I can only assume you mean water transport, as obviously Siem Reap is not on the sea. There are very expensive cruise lines that will take you this route in a week. There are overpriced and unsafe speed boats for a part of this route, from PP to Siem Reap (these take longer than a bus or taxi and are both more expensive and more uncomfortable).

There are regular buses between Saigon and Siem Reap.

As Kathie says to get a plane or bus you have to go back to Saigon. But there are safe boats from Choc Do to Phnom Penh every morning taking around 5hrs. The 3 main boat lines are the Victoria (operated by the Victoria hotel for guests) and being the most expensive at around $97, the Blue Cruiser at about $35 and the Hang Chau big boat at around $21. There is very little difference between the boats , the Victoria being way over priced. All boats leave around 7.00

When you reach PP you will be able to catch an early afternoon bus to Siem reap. The Mekong Express is considered the best and the last bus leaves at 12.30, cost $10 and taxes 5-6 hrs. If you miss this there are a couple of other bus lines that leave a little later. Or you could take a taxi for around $60 for the whole car.
