Marriott on River and Phuket Vacation Club

I have read these boards for almost a year. Thank you everyone !! I have two questions. Has anyone taken their laptop to these two Hotels. I would like to take mine to use Skype for communicating with our children and (little) work. Does it cost extra and are the plugs normal for the US.

Can't wait until I leave on February 10th. Fly into Phuket for the week and onto Bangkok.

If you are an owner using your week at the vacation club there is no charge for the internet. If you are paying for the unit as a guest there is a daily charge.

We will just miss you as we leave tomorrow for the Marriott Vacation Club on Phuket (2 weeks) then a week at the Riverside Marriott. (followed by other venues) Now I'm wondering if we should take our computer seeing as it's free at the Beach Club..... I think no, and will rely on internet cafes though there are none close to the Phuket Beach Club and Marriott charges so much money in their business center. Bangkok is a different matter and Bob recently told us all about the cheapie internet at the camera shop in the Mall adjacent to the Marriott Riverside.

Bye everyone, a million thanks for all your help in putting this latest trip together.

We own in Aruba and traded for Phuket. So, we will see if that counts!! I have a small (12&quot screen so it is like carrying a dvd player. I am so jealous that you are leaving tomorrow! Please let me know how you like it Vacation Club and the hotel. Have a safe and wonderful vacation. Thank you everyone for answering my questions.
