Malaysia, HELP!!!

Hi! We want to spend two weeks in march in Malaysia in a paradise: beautiful scenery, good swimming and snorkling facilities, not too many tourists and cheap living. What do You suggest??? Titte

You should consider Tioman Island off the east coast of peninsular Malaysia. Two weeks may be too long there, but a week would be great.

Friends also enjoyed the Perhentians.

Tioman Island or the Perhentians.

Sorry -- I noticed that my message somehow was published twice. Anyhow, you get my idea.

Tioman is too commercialised! I feel the corals are dying! Perhentian
or even Redang would be excellent as it is more remote and less crowded!

You could also try one of the more secluded resorts on Langkawi, which is 45 min flight from KL. Beautiful beaches etc. One tip - it's a duty free island so head into town (there's only one!) and buy up big on alcohol to save $$. Make sure you spend some time shopping in KL though - best I've seen in Asia; not necessarily the cheapest but the most user friendly (& everyone speaks English). Loved it.
