Mai Chau Lodge

Has anyone stayed at the Mai Chau Lodge? If so, did you go on any excursions that you'd recommend? Is 2 nights enough to experience the valley? Thanks for your comments. We'd be going in April.

we stayed in a small homestay in 2006 soI can't comment on on the MC Lodge. 2 days is a decent amount of time to explore the valley which is incredibly beautiful. We hiked for miles through the valley to some other villages. The people are extremely welcoming and many invited us in to their homes.

A highlight for us was to be invited to a party laid on for some students from Hanoi Uni by the local communist party

Here is a link to a few photos of our time there:

I like stay at home-stay than stay in Maichau lodge. In home-stay, you will get more experience with local people, the food is excellent and people is very friendly. The home-stay is safe enough for your overnight. So many beautiful scene and green field there, and you can take a hike around the village.
