Luxury hotel Bali

I'm looking for a very nice luxury hotel on Bali, which also has a beautiful beach. Has anybody experience and can help me?

I stayed at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa and loved it. The beach in front is very nice, much better than any other beaches I saw in Bali.

We visited Bali in 1998, we stayed in Sanur - not particuarly brilliant beach, lots of hassle, we did however visit Nusa Dua an enclave of 5 star hotels/resorts, we went to the Grand Hyatt, this had a beautiful beach and grounds, lots of different pools and the public areas were definitely in the luxury class. Although not recent hope the info helps.

If you really mean luxury and are willing to pay for it, you want to look at the 3 Amans on Bali. www.amanresorts.com.

Amankila has the best beach and is the most secluded.

What is important to you in choosing a location? Just the beach? Bali, as I'm sure you know isn't known for fabulous beaches. The beaches are ok, but they aren't like Thailand, for instance. There are dozens and dozens of luxury hotels.

You've had two people recommend the Nusa Dua area. If you want an enclave of luxury hotels, away from the small towns and cultural activites of Bali, that's the place for you. If you want more of a cultural experience of Bali you'll want to choose another area.

Amankila is your best bet. Although I've also stayed at Grand Hyatt and also loved their beach. Very nice property. FS and RC are also good but beaches are not as nice

I guess Amankila is the place you are looking for...I heard this is also the fifth best hotel in the world...

As someone mentioned the beaches aren't the main attraction. We stayed at the Four Seasons Sayan and enjoyed it more than we did at the Four Season Jimbaran Bay.

The Sayan location was one of the most striking hotels and the rooms have amazing views of the jungle and Ayung river. We could have passed on the Jimbaran location.

Plus, you will have a plunge pool to enjoy and the beaches won't be missed.
