Thank you everyone again for your help. I wanted to let you know what we decided on, in case you were curious. We are staying at the Four Seasons in Koh Samui for 5 nights. It's expensive but we decided to splurge a little. I will be back from my trip end of the month and will def report back!

Based on your original post, 16 days seems like too little time to go to 4 places, if you want to stay at the beach at the end for 5 days. Consider travel time and the two days you lose getting to Asia from the US too. I would only do 3 places if I were you.
