Lumpini Park

Hello, we would like to visit Lumpini Park early morning as we are fans of big city open spaces.
It looks as if there are 2 skytrain stops near. Is one preferred over another?
Any ideas of things to see or do near there? Thoughts for a place for lunch near the park?
Less than 2 weeks until take-off!
Thank you.

Silom station will be the closes but not by a lot of distant. Rachadamri station is about a 5 minutes walk away.

The Metro, with stops at Lumphini, Silom and The Phra Ram IV.
If you choose skytrain, it would be Sala Daeng station.

Thank you for your replies. I have a better sense of where to go now. Hoping we will find time for this with only 4 days in Bangkok. We leave Saturday!

I'm not sure if it's your cup of tea, but I've been told that the most famous Muay Thai fights are put on at Lumphini Park. I believe that the entrance fee can upwards of 100USD though.

NO Thai boxing bouts at Lumpini Park and I think @Wirraway has confused Lumpini Stadium with the actual park.

Sorry, I meant to say they are put on in the stadium near the park. Thanks for the correction.

Well, no, not so much re boxing but appreciate the suggestion. More looking for what Bangkok residents do for relaxation.
Thank you.
