Luang Prabang - Stri House
 

Diethelm, my travel agent, finds many hotels in LP are already fully booked for 1-4 Nov. They propose 'Stri House', but I do not find this back on any website. Anybody knows this place? Anyone with ideas of alternatives? Thks

Do you mean Satri House? It was recommended by Departures Magazine, which is sent to Amex Platinum Card holders. It is very difficult to find the website but you will get some idea about it if you search on google or yahoo

I guess so, Satri instead of tri. Probably a typing error of my agent. I could have been looking for a loooooonng time on the net. Thank you. Do you know the place? Is it good? To which other hotel in LP would it compare?

I haven't been to LP yet - my trip is not until mid October. I have reservations at Maison Souvannaphoum. Here is the website, not easy to find!

I just stayed at Satri House last week. You'll find photos on their website and in the "Hip Hotels Orient" book. Will post more details later.

I've just read a brand new review of Satri House on tripadvisor.com. It also has some pretty clear pictures and this is really what it looks like. I'll be posting my review on this board soon, as well as my trip report.
