Lombok as a base - which nice beaches to visit nearby
 

Hello,

me and my girlfriend are going to spend 8 days in Lombok, Senggigi (Qunci Villas), as part of a 4 weeks trip in Indonesia. We chose this area because of the nice accomodations in Senggigi and because we want to learn to surf there.As we are planning to surf before noon, we were wondering where we should spend the afternoons. We would like to relax on a very nice beach located maybe on an island nearby, which is not overcrowded.

I think, the Gillis would be in this regard not such a good option, right? What would you suggest?

The beach right at Qunci Villas is lovely - no reason to go elsewhere.

Kathie, thank you for your reply. Still, would recommend maybe any of the lesser known Gillis for a day at the beach?
