Loi Krathong dates?
 

I have an opprotunity to be in Bangkok in early/mid November and would love to observe Loi Krathong on the river. Any idea which evening(s) is the best to sit on the water and watch the festival? Any advice you can share would be very appreciated.

It is on Nov. 5th. I will be in Thailand to experience this for the first time this year but I will be in Chiang Mai.

Note that the big night of Loy Krathong is Nov 5, but there will be lighted boats on the river for many nights before and after that date, and fireworks for many nights after that date.

Thanks Kathie! There are so many dates listed on various websites and such, but November 5th is what I am looking for. It is nice to know that for several nights the river will be well lit!

This was a highlight of our trip last year! we were in koh chang on the big day and we could see off in the distance what we thought were UFOs! But i guess that they were just these lighted balloons floating away! So make sure you look in the sky to and not just on the water!

jeffrey....there were ufo's that nite too....i personally spoke to two people from mars....see you at the pool
