Live from hua hin
Thank god we booked the Hilton this time, just found out the Marriott hua hin closed June 15,2012 for renovations and from what I was told will change brand for Anantara.
Pattaya Marriott might also change. Our room at the hilton is on the 15th club floor and a super view,no tuktuk to go downtown we just walk, but it is still missing that little "je ne sais quoi" that the Marriott had. |
i always think of that hilton as a concrete jungle... i will be interested in your observations..
thanks for the heads up on the marriott.. i wonder if minor group (the owners) will be doing the same thing in pattaya? |
Evelyne! Nice to 'see' you here. How's the weather in Hua Hin right now? I know you won't still be in BKK when I arrive later in July, but would have loved to meet up at Marriott (now Anantara) BKK again... oh well... Things DO change, don't they?
I assume you will be in BKK for a portion of your trip. Where will you stay this time? Enjoy the beach! Carol |
Hello bob and carol
I will be in bkk only one night this thursday this time staying also at the Hilton millenium I am using my points. Bob,regarding the Hilton I just love the oceanfront view, the rooms are much bigger and the bathrooms huge. But the best is the club lounge on the 17th floor they serve complete breakfast ,they have an outside terrace which I use all the time,it is about 40 degree Celsius but it is ok because we have a lot of wind. The beach is not as great as the Marriott though. Food wise ,I eat downtown love their fresh grilled fish. Friday I will be at the Sofitel in Siem reap and then on Monday picking up AMA waterway cruise for one week to Saigon . Sorry I will miss u carol, next time I hope |
Your one-week cruise sounds nice! Do enjoy! Sorry we won't see each other this time, but there's always the NEXT time!
