LIBERTY CENTRAL HOTEL IN HCMC ???

Does anyone know anything about this new hotel in Saigon? There are NO reviews that say anything about it this 4 star property, managed by the Metropole . Good location, and price.

Thanks

This is a fairly new hotel that just opened which is why there are no reviews. We are considering staying there in May.

Just found out it does not open until Feb 1, 2010, and we are talking about Vietnam, so ....who knows when it really will open.

Hi Kmkrnn,
Liberty is a chain of hotels in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. As I know, there are 5 of them in town & locate in different places. They are 3 stars, not very good. If it is near the Metropole, it is quite far away from the Center, you have to walk 30 minutes to the center. You can check their website: www.libertyhotels.com.vn

I stayed at the Legend Hotel in my previous trips to HCMC but decided to try Liberty Central this time due to its "boutique hotel" style design and the incredible price. I also found absolutely no review online so I figure it must be brand new. Interesting enough, I got a personal email confirmation from the hotel manager almost instantly and offers me free airport pickup. I will consider it a GOOD SIGN and hope this is just the beginning of a great experience. I'll keep my fingers crossed..... heading there in early March - will definitely take some real pictures and post them along with my review online.!

According to someone who lives in HCMC and regularly passes the Liberty Central, the rebuilding work is still not complete. Although the upper floors seem to be ready and some furniture is being delivered, it looks as though the ground floor will take another couple of weeks.
