I've booked a taxi. muffin flat out refused to take the limo bus or the train.... So he' s paying!!!!

Wow. He does know that the taxi from Narita can run over $200?

Remember that this is Japan. The limo bus will have more space than an economy seat on an airplane (and as much legroom as a taxi). It will NOT have a stinky bathroom. You get the added benefit of seeing the city from the elevated roadways. They will load and unload your bags into the bottom of the bus. When you arrive there will be taxis waiting and no one expects a tip.

The train will run on time and there will be a place for your luggage. There will be announcements in English and on the NEX there is a board at the front with the info in both English and Japanese. Your luggage will have a spot. If you get lost in the station, someone will likely escort you to your destination.

Lcuy is correct on all points above buuuuuuut,

there is no better way to arrive in style at the PH (besides heli of course)than with a limo/taxi from Narita to the PH. There are cheaper ways but.....gotta love the mans style lol

I found a company that will do it for 19k, yep LOTS of money but we are flying via Doha, he is not a man to mess around after over 16 hours in the air!!!
Lucy its totally about convienience our schedule would mean we would just miss a train and he was NOT to be persuaded ref the bus..... Seriously it was not worth the argument ... ;)

One of the (many) wonderful things about Japan is that all of the transport options are good ones. The choice really depends on personal preference, and there's no worries about dodgy taxis and the like.

I didn't mean to say there was anything wrong with taking a cab, but for those who might have a tighter travel budget, I just wanted to point out that Narita mass transit is not exactly roughing it!

I would recommend a daytime bus trip (or car) for that reason alone.

Lcuy - to be honest I would have taken the bus as it galls to spend so much on a cab...:)
