More details to follow. I put together a lovely detailed post about all of our bangkok adventures at breakfast a few mornings ago but the wifi dropped before I could post it. Luckily I have a very long trip home to jot down some thoughts.

This is our last full day. Planning on eating from dawn til dusk. Beach in the morning, massage at 1 and a little pool time. We are considering going over to Phuket town to see the old town. Is it worth the trip from surin?

I would go up to Big Buddha if you are headed into town.

This might be a bit late to comment on but here goes. The weekend market is a great experience and one of my must things to do if you are a shopper at all. It's great for getting small gifts for those back home such as neighbors, neighbor kids, doctors, nurses, dentists, people who provide services to you.
You can pick up some unique items for very little money. We buy these items (several each, as you are more apt to get a better price) and give them away and they are greatly appreciated. I am talking fans, little purses, ladies compact mirror, lipstick holders, tissue box holders, scarves ( the silk scarves are a big hit and so cheap to buy). Table cloths, and other items. These are items that you cannot get in the states and they are really appreciated. While there are other venues in BKK where these items may be purchased you will get the best deal at the weekend market. Buy several of each item and bargain the price, do so with a calculator as this works best for several reasons. Bring a bag with wheels as you will buy a lot and also some bottled water as it is hot. Be careful with your money as the place is crowded with narrow alleys so just use caution, keep your money in a secure location. Do not carry a backpack on your back, keep it in front of you.
