lcuy - India Trip Report?

Hi, Lcuy,

Have been looking for your India trip report....Please, please.

mari808 Nov 8th, 2007 01:30 AM

CFW,

Do you mean Lcuy's latest trip? The one from last month?

If so, you must get in line. Many of us are waiting for the rest of her Vietnam/Bangkok trip report from early summer. It had a very promising start.

We may also be waiting for the rest of her Cambodia trip report, from last Christmas, but it's been so long I can't remember.

My theory is that Lcuy is too busy with GTGs and trips to finish a trip report.

Still, we hope.

You are so mean!!!

I did finish my Xmas 2006 Cambodia/Thai report.

My June 2007 VN/Thailand is half done.

My Oct India is ...

Okay. Totally guilty. I'll work on it, but got MIL here now, friend coming for a week tomorrow. THEN I'll post em!!

As I'm going to Boise for this Xmas, I at least won't need to do a report on that!! ;-)

The penalty is piling up. We'll need a calculator to compute how many Rupees.

Boise? Are youn aware that their Football field is blue? Why would someone from Hawaii voluntarily go to Idaho in the winter? Is the skiing in Hawaii really that bad?

mari-chan, cool it. lucy going to boise for xmas is enough punishment. :-)

lcuy Nov 8th, 2007 04:44 PM

K-suke: you are such a gentleman to stand up for me!!

BTW: I'm trying to book DDs flight to Singapore in Jan. I see there are two airports. Any tips on getting cheap flights to either of them??

lcuy Nov 8th, 2007 04:49 PM

I didn't know anything about blue fields. Sounds like an Idaho thing though!

Though Boise is not the most glamorous of places (!!), it is my sister's turn to host the clan. She's threatening Potato soup, potato salad and potatoes au grain for Christmas dinner if we make negative comments on her state.

I'm with Bob. I think the potato menu sounds great -- probably the best part of being in Boise! But how did you ever persuade your family to give up Hawaii at Xmas!

lcuy Nov 8th, 2007 06:26 PM

It took some doing to get rid of 'em! Hawaii is a pretty nice place for family reunions. Surfing on Christmas day makes for nice family photos....

After years of celebrating Christmas, Chanukka and Ramadan in San Diego (yes, we are a very diverse group!!) when my parents were gone, we decided to meet at each others' homes every other year. Hawaii in 05, Idaho 07, and 09 will be either Austrralia or La Jolla, although I sense a move afoot that wants to return to Hawaii. It just so central for all of us!

Bob- Anoop pulled a switch on us...His cousin Narender was our driver. Turned out to be a fantastic driver and really, really nice guy. Seems two brothers and their cousin Anoop are all in this together.

I was a bit put out for the first few minutes, but once we realized how much we liked Narender, it was more than fine! We hired him for two extra days in Delhi as well.

Hmmm, Australia at Christmas sounds pretty nice too.

Sorry, Lcuy. Couldn't resist. I've been dying to find out how the Vietnam/Bangkok trip ends.

Let me help ... I think you left off on Day 4...?

Heard you had a 2nd great trip to India; sounds fantastic. When is DD planning to leave SEAsia?
