Late flight out of Phuket

Hi, we have a 1:40am International (to Beijing and then onto SFO) flight out of Phuket coming up. We're traveling with a 5 and 3 year old—who typically are in bed by 8pm—and check out of our hotel (the JW Marriott) earlier in the day.

So assuming we need to be at the airport by around 10:30pm, it's still quite awkward in terms of the kids...

Are there any lounges or is there an on-premise hotel that might help us bridge that time between our midday checkout and our middle of the night flight that someone might be aware of? Nothing is immediately apparent to me.

Thank you!

There's plenty of accommodation in the Nai Yang area, only 5 minutes or less by taxi from Phuket Airport.

Most are listed on Agoda and Booking.com.

The beach at Nai Yang is great too, one of the most child friendly along the Andaman Coast.

Ask the Marriott for a late check out or can you store luggage and have a room to freshen up before leaving, they are usually very accommodating!

There is a Coral Lounge at the airport, you can only book online if you have a Kasikorn Bank card so try ringing them or get the hotel to do it for you, they could make the payment and add to your bill or find out if you can pay at the lounge to use it. You could also ask at Coral stand in the departure hall on the right at the back.

no airport hotel that I am aware of, but several small places around the airport but nothing nice

Of course there are some nice and comfortable places close to Phuket Airport. Perhaps not 5*, but is that really not just a waste of money for a few hours?

If the Marriott is the one at Khao Lak then I'd think carefully about the drive to the Airport late at night. That highway has a lot of very heavy traffic, and a lot of risk takers [probably alcohol fuelled].

Try David Residence. Clean, modern and free pick up or drop off or walk if you wish.
