Last minute Bali Lodging Questions?
We are a couple looking for a quite private location: We have most of our 17 day trip booked but still can't decide on a few locations:
Permutean. Should we stay at Taman Sari or Taman Sari Amertha? Ubud: Should we stay at Tjampuhan Resort (Raja), Kajane(Toya), Komaneka, Nefatari Villa? We are staying for 2 nights out of Ubud at Sayan Terrace(Honeymoon Suite) The rest of the trip to Mundok, Gilli M, Jibaron is pretty much set. We do enjoy the private pool idea but would like to keep the budget to under 200 noc. A quite location is important. Thank you |
I loved the Toya villa at Kajane. The private pool was terrific and beautiful and breakfast was delivered to your private patio overlooking the pool. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We've stayed on two different occasions and would stay again.

Guess I waited too late and the Kajane is now booked. Thank you for your reply. I am getting a good feeling about Nefatari and the reviews. Thanks again. |
Hi Utahlover,
We were in Bali in May and spent some time in Pemuteran. We stayed at Taman Selini (it was okay, nothing great except the price!) but I was kicking myself for not booking Taman Sari Amertha. It looks like a very nice place and far better than its sister hotel Taman Sari. I wasn't that impressed with the look of Taman Sari but Taman Aari Amertha looked beautiful and is still a great bargain. That's where I'd stay in Pemuteran. We also stayed at Kajane in Ubud (Beji villa) but Komaneka looked beautiful as well. If the villa you're considering doesn't work out I don't think you could go wrong at Komaneka. Good luck! Jana |
Thank you everyone for your advice. I did book with the Taman Sari Amertha . I go with what you readers tell me...instead of sometimes pushy travel agents.

Re: Sari Amertha--
Does anyone know what a "garden view" suite means? The Web site has no picture or description and that's all they have open for my dates. Thanks! |
you might try one of the 8 rooms at the alam shanti, just outside ubud...it is very private, quiet and fabulous...they ahve other properties as well
