Laos & Cambodian accom
 

We are independent budget travellers, (sometimes 5 star if warranted)flying Hanoi to Vientiane early Dec then on to Luang Prabang and Siem Reap. Anyone know of good websites to book local accom in both countries. Big price variation after a google search so would love to hear from fellow travellers and where they booked.

Vientiane if u feel like splurging tp 5 star the place to stay is Settha Palace. They have a web site. The latest AWSJ has an article by Stan Sesser where he strongly recommends Sayo's Guest House in LP -, e-mail [email protected], ask for room #6 or 4. See the article AWSJ, Nov7-9 edition.

Tks Sameera.-have booked sayo's for our trip nest month. Settha Palace looks good-bit out of our price range. Will post opinion of sayos when we return late Dec. Thanks again for the info.

We went in Vientiane in jan 02 and stayed at the Orchid guest house, 33 fangum rd: clean,quiet, good price and well located. In Luang Prabang have a look at the Mano g.h. near the Lao aviation offices. (forgot the name of the street)
