Krabi or Koh Samui with small baby?
 

We are planning to go to Krabi (+ Koh Lanta) or Koh Samui in late Nov or early Dec. We have been to Phuket and Koh Phi Phi four years ago. Now we are traveling with our 6 months baby. Where should we go this time? <BR> <BR>We would like a relaxed place but NOT to isolated. Some shopps and nice restaurants/bars in walking distance would be nice. Nightclubs or go-go bars/girls not necessary! We are not divers, but some shorter baby-friendly islands or snorkeling trips would be nice. We prefer bungalow hotel close to the beach (***). Any suggestions? <BR> <BR>What's the weather in Koh Samui this period? Nicest beach (but not to isolated) in Koh Samui? Is the roads terrible in Koh Samui? Maybe Krabi is nicer than Koh Samui? How about Koh Lanta? Which place has the nicest beaches? <BR> <BR>Please give us some tips...

Hi Karin, I suggest you go to Krabi Resort in Ao Nang. They have hotel rooms as well as bungalows. The resort is situated at the Western end of Ao Nang Beach and has a swimming pool. Quite next to it there are approx 10 Restaurants and Bars all along the Beach on a kind of terrace. Shops and tour operators are also in walking distance. Ao Nang beach is nice but not spectacular. You can make a 10 minutes' boat trip to Railay Beach which is very beautiful, or go to one of the small islands. <BR>I have not yet been to Ko Samui but I understand that the best time to visit it is from April to September latest. <BR>By the way Krabi airport has been opened 2 weeks ago. There are regular flights from Bangkok. <BR>Have a nice trip. Rose.
