Krabi help

Hello.
We are planning a visit to Krabi in December and are doing some research. A few questions.
1) Any opinion on Krabi Thai Village Resort?

2) If we want a relatively quiet location but with easy access to restaurants and activities, is Ao Nang a good option?

3) Should we fly into Krabi or Phuket?

Thanks in advance...

Can't help with No. 1.

Ao Nang is certainly a good option. How long is your stay. If only a few days, I think Railay is more interesting, but for more than a few nights you may run out of night options.

Fly into Krabi. The airport is only 30 minutes from Ao Nang. If you fly into Phuket, you'll have a 2 - 3 hours drive added to your trip.

Hey Michael. Thanks for your input...as always.
We will be in Krabi for 5 nights. Basically just want to relax as this will be the middle of a month-long Asia trip.
Any hotels you like? I think you recently stayed at the Sheraton? We are thinking of something in the $100/night range.

NOOOO! Bob (rhmkk) stayed at the Sheraton. Do NOT confuse me with Bob! The Sheraton sounded nice, but a ways from the center of things. On Railay, I stayed at the Sunrise Tropical, which I loved. The Railay Bay is a reasonable alternative, or the Rayavadee if you've got money to burn.

Whoops.....sorry Michael. My bad.
