Don't know too much about it, but it's certainly one of the top social clubs in Hong Kong, with <2,000 members according to their website, and they haven't accepted any new regular member in the last three. It's certainly a priviledge to join or use the facilities.
Most "sports" club in Hong Kong are mainly social venues with good dining facilities; but the KCC does have a relatively large area in a prime location, and have a pool, tennis courts, etc.

What are you trying to find out? I played field hockey at the KCC years ago. Back then, the membership was mainly British. I remember its interior as quite colonial with a lot of wicker furniture. Like rkkwan said, its location and sports amenities are great.
