Kowloon Hotels
I am planning a visit to Hong Kong next Feb. I am thinking about staying on Kowloon. I've only been there on a cruise and not stayed on land. I am looking for moderate or good budget hotel recommendations and which ones to stay away from. What areas and I might like a "view" :-) TIA

The Salisbury is your best bet. They do have harbor view rooms. I think it's the only bargain in Hong Kong.

The harbor view rooms are probably the best bargain in the industrialized world :) |
Yes, I've stayed there and totally agree. Best deal in Hong Kong by far.
|
:) I now have a harbor view queen room reserved ")

Congrats!

Good job, hpeabody. I've never stayed anywhere else.

I too will be in Hong Kong around the same time. I too would like a Harbour View but I am tentatively looking at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile as it is somewhat in my price range. Would like to stay under U$D200.
I do have an option of staying at the Langham Hotel, but wondering if that is close walking distance to Nathan Rd, Tsim Tsui area, etc. hpeabody, we might be on the same cruise? Holland America. Singapore to Hong Kong? January 5 to February 2. |
Fredochicago, Check out Expedia for the Salisbury. I have a Harbor View at about $207 USD for Feb 11 - 13.
I am actually stopping in Hong Kong on my way to Singapore where I will board the Sapphire Princess for a southeast Asia 21 day cruise. I am doing HAL's new ship, Koningsdam maiden Trans Atlantic next October. |
Langham is right in TST, convenient for everything. But no harborview.
