Koh Samui / Bangkok

Any Advice ?
We are going to Thailand for 2 weeks in July.
We are considering Koh Samui for one week
- Anyone been to Imperial Samui or Princess Village ? Also, will we get lots of rain ?
For Bangkok, thinking of Montien Riverside or Royal Princess ? Any Thoughts ?
Thanks.

Hi David,
We went to the imperial samui last march,it is a really great hotel in an excellant location.E-mail me if you need more info,or do a search. We stayed at the marriott riverside in Bangkok, this is also a brilliant hotel.

You might get some rain but Koh Samui is on the 'preffered' side of the Peninsular for weather that time of year so it's a good choice, take a look at the Boathouse on Samui for something 'quite' different.

Hi

I have only been to Thailand in the "wet season" but I still think it is great. Bangkok is a great city and it is an exciting place to explore. And Samui has really nice beaches and great snorkling at places like Koh Tao. I have posted trip reports and pictures from trips to Thailand on my personal homepage www.gardkarlsen.com :-) My wife and I have been fortunate enough to be able to visit this country on two occasions and we have had a good time there. I hope that you can find some useful information on my page. Have a great trip :-)

We have been to BK and KS the last two Julys but not to the hotels you mentioned. You will get rain almost every day- however, usually not until early evening or perhaps late afternoon.
