Kintamani in Bali - worth the trip?
 

Hi,

I am currently putting together an itinerary for our upcoming Bali trip. Kintamani seems to be a popular destimation. However, we will not be hiking up the mountain, just doing a long drive from Ubud for the views. Is it really worth doing or are we better off spending the time doing something else more local to Ubud?

Also, is Besakik on the way from Ubud to Kintamani or is it a big detour?

suggest you look at a bali map to get your bearings....

you need to tell us something about your time frames and your interests.....i love ubud and could spend several weeks there, another friend thought it was boring and uninteresting...

Kintamani is one of the nice place to see,but for me not a prior place.Besakih is not on the way,you could do tour to Kinamani and Besakih in one day,is close.

You'll get a lot of nice views in Bali on your way to anywhere outside of the southern area. The drive to Besakih is through some very nice areas, so I wouldn't add Kintamani to that.
