Khanchanaburi day tour - is this price ok?

Just wondering if this is an ok price. Any inputs from anyone who's done something similar will be appreciated. Thanks.

For the Khanchanaburi day out: Including visits to the war museum &
cemetary, a short boat ride to the famous Bridge over the River Kwai, A
train ride on the Death Railway track through Hell Fire pass, lunch and a
visit to the tiger temple.

Fee: Inclusive of Driver, Car, Petrol, All admission fees, boat and train
rides, lunch, soft drinks & cold towels through out and private guide: 180$.

I think this is quite a bit more than I've seen others being quoted. If I'm not mistaken, Tong's fee for the day to go to Kanchaburi and the Tiger Temple is under 4000 baht.

Thats around 6,300 Baht.

I think Tong or other similar are usually quoting for guide/transport fee only and are around 4K baht. If your's include all other fees & lunch, its not too far off.

(only the tigers temple is 300 or 400 baht per person)

When we had Tong for the full day that included what you have listed it came to somewhere around 3800. That was last November.
Happy travels

Bob is of course right be sure what you are comparing. I came back to this thread to let you know that the price I gave you for us did not include lunch. We decided to just wing it on the day.
Thanks J

There is no way lunch would cost that additional 4000 baht unless you were 10 people, nor do admission fees really add that much. I really think $180.00 is way too high when compared with what others have reported paying.

My math is off...about 2500 baht difference in price...but still too expensive for lunch.

Thanks everyone for your inputs. I've contacted tong and will be using one of her guides (she's not free on that day). We don't want to adhere to a strict itinerary, nor are we interested in doing the train/boat ride.

We leave next week! Thanks again.
