Yes, I stayed at the Leela Kovalam. They serve an excellent buffet with local delicacies. The service is friendly, and the location spectacular - it is the best gigl in Kovalam. However, the hotel overall lacks the polish of Leela Mumbai and Leela Bangalore.

For visitors to Kerala, I highly recommend the hotels run by this environmentally-conscious group -

I stayed at their Brunton Boatyard hotel in Cochin and it was top-notch. They also have other properties in Kerala.
