Kerala in late July

Hi,

How is the weather in Kerala in late July?

Also, what is the best itinerary for 4 days 3 nights in Kerala? Possibly staying in one of those boats to explore the backwaters?

Thanks.

Its the monsoon season there. However its the best time to experience the beauty of the god's own country. You can visit Munnar and alleppey (houseboat) during this time. 2 nights in Munnar an d a night on house boat will do. You can arrive Kochi and drive straight to Munnar unless you are arriving in the night.

Climate in Kerala during late July is mostly warm and there are chaces for frequent rainfall.

Even it is late July Kerala is drenching with frequent and heavy rainfall and moderately high temperature. The weather is somewhat pleasant as compared to summers because of winds and rainfall from time to time offers a great environment to explore Kerala. Moreover at this around the year the state is not highly visited so that there is no rush and you can enjoy beach side view with shades of clouds above yourself. Another thing you can enjoy backwater riding and witness the crispiness of green colour which is more enhanced after a good rainfall. Everything seems very clean and vibrant as it is just washed away all the impurities. So yeah this would be a great timing to witness the picturesque and serene beauty of Kerala "Gods own country". Have a great trip and keep posted about your experience.

Hi,

Although July is not considered as the best time visit Kerala, I think it is the best the to explore the greenery of God's Own country.

You can discover the greenery of Munnar hills, which will give you a wholesome experience.

3 nights are not enough to explore the natural beauty of Kerala.

I would suggest you to plan your trip like this:

Munnar- 2 Night
Alleppey(Houseboat)- 1 night
Kovalam- Day trip to Kovalam beach

I hope this is helpful :)
